Its my wife's birthday tomorrow. This will be the 19th birthday of hers that I've been able to celebrate. The first one was her sweet 16.
Seems like yesterday that she was a cheerleader and I was a soccer player. Seems like yesterday that I was making eyes at her from across the parking lot we used for marching band practice while the band director yelled in his megaphone. Seems like yesterday that we were in the kitchen at 6521 Cherrywood making Sunday night pizzas for her family.
As I was writing in her card tonight I decided to write a poem. (Not sharing the poem--it was just for her.) I like writing poetry. I don't do it nearly as often as I'd like. But certain moments move me to want to write poems.
A man should love his wife enough that it stirs poetry out of him. Thank you God for that Redhead you gave me.
Aaaaw! You guys are so cute!
